Abd al-Rahman Ibrahima freed
The Fula prince from Futa Jallon is freed after his Arabic letter, mistaken for Moroccan, reaches the Sultan of Morocco, who asks U.S. officials to intervene. He sails for Liberia in 1829 and dies there that year.
